Louis Poulsenを代表するWorkshop Pendantは、1960年代に生まれた実用照明の名作です。

そのルーツは、工場や作業場といったワークスペース。手元を効率よく照らすために設計されたシンプルなフォルムは、余計な装飾を削ぎ落としたからこその美しさを備えています。

最大の特徴は、広く開いたシェードが生み出す、ムラの少ない下向きの光。Louis Poulsenが長年追求してきた「グレア（眩しさ）を抑え、必要な場所へ光を届ける」という照明設計思想が、この小さなペンダントにも息づいています。
