NV108は、フィン・ユールが1940年代後半から追求してきた「家具は人体を包み込む彫刻である」という思想を、最もシンプルな形で表現したモデルのひとつです。

代表作であるNV45やNV53に見られる大胆な”浮遊する座面”の構成は控えめですが、その分、プロポーションの美しさや、有機的な曲線の完成度が際立っています。

装飾に頼ることなく、丁寧に削り出された木部や、身体に自然と沿う背もたれのわずかなカーブだけで存在感を生み出す。その静かな美しさこそ、フィン・ユールのデザイン哲学が凝縮された証と言えるでしょう。
