「フィンランドデザインの良心」と称されたカイ・フランク。彼が1954年に発表したこのジュースセットは、単なる食器の範疇を超え、当時の北欧が求めた「合理性と情緒の幸福な同居」を完璧に体現したプロダクトです。

特筆すべきは、マテリアルが放つ鮮烈なコントラスト。ヌータヤルヴィの高度な技術によって生み出された、深く、透き通るようなルビーレッドの硝子。そこに組み合わされるのは、極めて有機的なテクスチャーを持つラタン（籐）のバスケット。この「工業」と「手仕事」の境界線を軽やかに飛び越えるバランス感覚こそ、カイ・フランクのデザインの本質と言えます。

すべてのグラスとピッチャーがバスケットの中にぴたりと収まる、パズルのような機能美。それは、お気に入りの飲み物とともに場所を移動し、誰かと時間を共有するという「行為」そのものをデザインした結果に他なりません。
