リサ・ラーソンといえば、愛らしい動物たちの造形が真っ先に思い浮かびますが、この『Theater』シリーズは、彼女の芸術家としてのより深く、内省的な側面を映し出した一作です。

1996年にケラミークストゥディオン（グスタフスベリ附属の陶器スタジオ）で制作されたこのオブジェが描くのは、「仮面」という普遍的なテーマ。自らの顔の前にもうひとつの顔を掲げるその姿は、社会の中で演じる自己（ペルソナ）と、その奥に潜む真実の自己という、人間が抱える多面性への静かなメタファーのようにも受け取れます。

特筆すべきは、ドレスに施された緻密なリリーフ模様。指先に伝わる土の質感と、マットな釉薬が織りなす陰影は、北欧の伝統的な手仕事の豊かさを雄弁に物語っています。素朴な素材感と、装飾的な衣服のコントラストが生み出す独特な品格は、単なる置物の枠を超え、空間に知的なドラマを添えてくれるはず。

可愛らしさのその先にある、リサ・ラーソンの思索に触れる。棚の一角を、まるで静かな舞台のように変えてしまう、深い精神性を湛えたプロダクトです。
