ヨハネス・アンダーセンの仕事には、常に「木という素材の限界」を試すような、ある種のスリルと気品が同居しています。デンマークの名門・ウルドゥム社で製造されたこのダイニングチェアは、彼の代名詞とも言える有機的な造形美が、最も洗練された形で結実した一脚です。
最大の見どころは、背もたれから脚部へと淀みなく流れる、彫刻のような輪郭。指先でエッジをなぞれば、継ぎ目を感じさせない滑らかな面取りと、チーク材が数十年をかけて手に入れた濃密な飴色の質感が、当時の高度な木工技術を雄弁に物語ります。

座面には、北欧テキスタイルの至宝、Kvadrat社の「Hallingdal 65」を採用。名匠ナナ・ディッツェルが手がけたこの生地特有の、ざっくりとしたウールの質感が、チークの滑らかなフレームと知的なコントラストを描き出しています。
