最大の見どころは、二段のドロワー前面に施された彫刻的なレリーフ。中央から端へと緩やかに収束していく立体的なラインは、光を浴びることで繊細な陰影を映し出し、平面的なチェストのフェイスに知的なリズムをもたらしています。本体のボリュームを忘れさせるほど長く、細く設計された脚部のプロポーションが生み出す圧倒的な「浮遊感」。この不安定なまでのエレガンスこそ、当時の北欧デザインが獲得した知的なバランスの真髄と言えるでしょう。

W630mmという小振りなスケールと、D300mmという極めてスリムな奥行き。壁面に一筋の強い「線」を引き込み、その上に置かれるランプやオブジェのコンテクストを劇的に、けれど静かに整えてくれる。機能を形に翻訳し、余白を美しく調律する。居住空間の解像度を細部から引き上げてくれる一台です。
