ボーエ・モーエンセンが1958年に生み出した「スパニッシュチェア」を眺めていると、どこか異国の乾いた風と、揺るぎない誠実さを同時に運んできてくれるような気がします。

触れるたびに指先から伝わる、肉厚なサドルレザーの圧倒的な安心感。ベルトをぎゅっと締め直すように、座るたびに自分自身の気持ちまでもが、きりと整えられていくのを感じます。広々としたオーク材の肘掛けは、お気に入りの珈琲や、一日の終わりのウィスキーをそっと受け止めるための、あまりに贅沢で、ひそやかな「食卓」のようです。
