1957年、イタリア・モダニズムの巨人、ジオ・ポンティ。彼が辿り着いたのは、指一本で軽々と持ち上げられるほど軽く、けれど決して折れることのない「究極の椅子」でした。

最大の見どころは、一辺がわずか18mmという極細の脚部。断面を「三角形」に設計するという極めて建築的なロジックが、驚異的な軽さと構造的な強度を両立させています。カッシーナ（Cassina）社による緻密な木工技術が、この挑戦的なドローイングを、日々の生活に寄り添う実用的な「道具」へと昇華させました。

黒のラッカー仕上げが施されたアッシュ材の骨格と、天然のラタン（籐）が織りなす、静謐なコントラスト。年月を経て塗装の端々から覗く木肌は、この椅子が刻んできた時間の記憶であり、現代のクリーンな居住空間に知的な「線のリズム」をもたらしてくれます。
